Stanley Twyman Trophy Presented to Hull University Guard
Security guard Ian Chapman has been awarded the
Stanley Twyman Trophy for excellent service. The award is presented by the SPS
Security team in honour of Stanley who lost his life whilst on duty for SPS
Security at the Atlas Caravans site in 2001.
Ian, from North Hull, joined Hull-based SPS Group in
2009 and has worked mainly on the Hull University contract as a security guard.
He works alongside the university’s in-house security team and other SPS
colleagues assigned to the contract.
SPS Security, part of the SPS Group, with its head
offices in Neptune Street, Hull, has presented the award for the last decade to
guards who excel in their roles.
Bob McKenzie Managing Director said: “Ian
is very highly thought of by the university security staff and his colleagues
and he has seen numerous security successes whilst on duty at the site.
“He is most deserving of this award and we are
delighted to present it to him in honour of Stanley Twyman, a much loved guard,
who we will forever respect.”
The SPS Group employs more than 1,000 staff and offers a single provider solution for cleaning, security and technical.
